This year the Farmingdale Jaguars 16U fast pitch team is enjoying great success playing against elite and Division 1 programs. The girls started the season in the BP All-Star Memorial Day Tournament, then moved to the Town of Hempstead High School League where we have made it to the second round with a 4-3-1 record. They are the only team to have defeated the LI Riptides 3-2 and tied the HSB 1-1 who are loaded with Holy Trinity players and a great coach, Steve Banks.
In the East Meadow tournament, they are 3-2 and presently in second place. The girls continue to improve with each game and have made excellent defensive plays along with offensive blasts and some beautiful bunts. Their success with bunting is credited to FBLI coach Andy Rabkin who taught the girls at a young age the proper technique. They pulled out an exciting 1-0 victory in a tiebreak eighth inning game versus Franklin Square and a big win against HBQVB 7-2.
