Three members of the Farmingdale High School Lady Dalers, State Finalist, Girls Lacrosse Team, participated in the Empire State Games July 26-July 29 as members of the Gold Medal winning Long Island Girls Empire Lacrosse Team.
Farmingdale Junior and High School All-American; Alyssa Kildaire, Farmingdale Sophomore and High School All-American; Lauren Maksym, and Farmingdale High School Sophomore; Janine Hillier participated, for the second year in a row, and, had major roles in the team's successful defense of last year's gold medal win.
The Dalers were joined by an All-Star cast of players, from all around Long Island, including; Monica Demario from Massapequa. Farmingdale Junior Melissa Maier was an alternate.
The Long Island Empire Team was undefeated in the statewide tournament, held in Westchester County, outscoring their opponents 91-33 and winning the Gold Medal Game against Hudson Valley 17-9.
