Butch, baker, chocolate candy make - what did they use to do their jobs? Find out at the Farmingdale Bethpage Historical Society's new exhibit, Tools of the Trade on display. Tools and implements on display range from the dyes used at Liberty Aircraft during World War II to a 100-year-old camera to candy molds used by Kord and Hanni Fick. Additional exhibits include fire bellows from Norway, a lady's foot warming box, a three-legged milking stool from the late 1880s, copper tools used at Stern's Pickle Works, sewing tools from the 1920s and 30s, English Ironstone Ware and an early settler's wooden cookery. This exhibit will be on display at the Farmingdale Public Library on Merritts Road until September.
