Regina Wesche' Hraba, age 88, died after a short illness on March 11, 2007. She was the wife of the late Albert C. Hraba; mother of James, John, and Janet; mother-in-law of Bobbie and Lynn; grandmother of Sean, Peter, Richelle, and Brian; great-grandmother of James, Michael, Tyler, and Hailey.
"Gina" whose father, William A. Wesche' was the village clerk for 30 years and has a street named after him, was born and raised and lived in Farmingdale all of her life. Gina was loved by any and all with whom she came in contact. She was known for her giving spirit. She was honored by the March of Dimes as a Woman of Distinction in the mid '90s because of her generosity and good works. She was a member of St. Thomas' Episcopal Church and an extremely active in the Episcopal Church Women.
Gina has donated her body to the School of Medicine, Dept. of Anatomical Sciences at SUNY StonyBrook. Even now she keeps on giving.
Frank G. Hicks, 89, of Fort Pierce, FL, died on April 2, 2007 at the VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach, FL. Mr. Hicks was born June 23, 1917 in Wantagh, son of Frank and Helen Connely Hicks. He was a resident of Farmingdale from 1937 until 1961. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army in the European Theater of Operations. He was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Lillian Ketcham Hicks of Fort Pierce; daughter Susan M. Hicks of Fort Pierce; four sons, Frank G. Hicks III of Miami, FL, William Hicks of Lake Worth, FL, Alan Hicks of Novelsvillek, IN, and Sean Hicks of Port St. Lucie, FL; two grandchildren and a brother Oliver Hicks of Afton, NY.

Theresa Hanby (nee Tempia), of Farmingdale, died on March 19, 2007. Survived by her son, Boyd J. Hanby, and many extended family members. Predeceased by her husband Boyd, Sr. and her daughter Arline Hayward. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. A prayer service was held March 23 at the funeral home. Cremation services were private.
Frances D. Paganucci, of Farmingdale, formerly of Ozone Park, died on March 15, 2007. Wife of the late Frank. Mother of Robert (Jean), Theresa (the late John) Sheehy, Victor (Cheryl), and the late Mary Ann Paganucci. Grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 23. Evelyn M. Franz, of Bethpage, died on March 24, 2007. Wife of the late Phillip. Mother of Evelyn (William McLoughlin) and Phillip (and Nana) Franz. Grandmother of Laura, James Dennis and Thomas. Jean was a member of K of C Council #2204 Columbiettes, past commander of Ladies Auxillary Amvets Post 88 of Massapequa and St. Kilian Prayer Group.
