Tony Camporeale, Joe and Christine Blotta and Ricky and Nancy Garced, all of Hahn Avenue in Bethpage, live directly behind the Pathmark on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown. After a number of measures taken by both the Town of Hempstead and Pathmark to resolve these residents' concerns, they filed a lawsuit against the grocer in November of 2006.

In an attempt to take advantage of the unusually mild weather, the Columbus Lodge #2143 Golden Lions plan on opening their 2007 charity softball season at the 14th Annual St. Mary's Tournament. The April 7 event will be at Cunningham Park in Queens and according to tournament coordinator Ken Schmidt, the event raises money for Saint Mary's Children's Hospital Inc. (SMCH).
