I have to tell you about a wonderful health resource I found in Farmingdale. I had severe pain in my leg and I went to an orthopedic doctor and had an MRI, which indicated a herniated disc. The doctor thought this disc problem resulted in sciatica, the reason for the pain in my leg.

I then went to a neurologist, chiropractor and acupuncturist and no one was able to relieve my pain.

Someone told me about Mitchell Yass, a physical therapist who owns a physical therapy facility in Farmingdale called PT2, located on Merritts Road. I went to see him and he diagnosed the cause of my pain in less than 10 minutes - I had a severe muscle spasm. He massaged it and gave me muscle strengthening exercises that I did at his facility. Seventy-five percent of my pain was gone after the first session.

As I continued going to PT2 for physical therapy, I talked to the other patients I met there. They told me that they also thought Mitch Yass was a "Miracle Man." Most had been previously told that they needed surgery or heavy duty prescription drugs to relieve their pain. Not true! Almost all of them had a muscle deficit or imbalance. Mitch Yass was able to stop their pain by massage and appropriate, aggressive strength training. Many of these people came to PT2 after years of suffering, looking for relief. They just wanted to be able to function day to day. Mitch told me that he encounters misdiagnoses of the cause of pain, misdiagnoses of the need for surgery and the overuse of prescription drugs every day at his facility. It was amazing for me to see how many lives were being improved every day by Mitch Yass.
