After 10 years of advocating for the 143+ acre former county property, the day has come for the matter to be heard by the Town of Oyster Bay on Tuesday, Jan. 23. As a community, we have the opportunity to be heard and to shape our future by attending the town board public hearing and speaking in opposition to the applicant's precedent setting mega-development proposal. This proposal seeks to create a new zoning classification for a "pud-mx" that is unparalleled anywhere else on Long Island.
Please do your part in ensuring that the last vestige of open space is developed responsibly by demanding the town maintain the current zoning, covenants and restrictions that ran with the sale of the land.
