Richard H. Jaisle, age 79, of Farmingdale and formerly of Gilgo Beach, died on December 31, 2006. Husband of Mildred (nee Gifford). Father and father-in-law of Cheryl and Nick Parisi, Pamela and John Buscemi, Robin Hilbert, Karen and Charlie Scudlo. Grandfather of Heather and James Parisi, Jaisle, Eddie and James Hilbert, Kimberly and Clifford Scudlo, Chris, Richie, John Michael and Matthew Buscemi. Great- grandfather of seven. Harriet May Verbeeck, 79, of Bowie, MD, formerly of Farmingdale, died on Jan. 5, 2006 from advanced lung cancer. Born on Dec. 22, 1927, she graduated from Farmingdale High School in 1945 and was a bookkeeper for 20-plus years at Giant Food Federal Credit Union. She was treasurer and charter member of the Perennial Blossoms of Bowie Red Hat Society. Her hobbies were mah-jongg, cards, traveling, baking, music and theater. She was very sociable, outgoing, always had a smile and she never met a stranger. She married Pete Verbeeck on June 26, 1959. He died on Aug. 28, 2001. Mother of Gary Tolp (Maureen) of Farmingdale, the late David Tolp of Bowie, Peter Verbeeck of Prince Frederick, MD, Scott Verbeeck (Toni) of Dunkirk, MD, Pamela Seay (Daniel) of Bowie and Marcia Brusberg (Mark) of Laurel, MD. Grandmother of 12. Great-grandmother of two. Sister of the late Jerome Coan of Farmingdale. Also survived by scores of friends and family in Maryland and New York. Arrangements were made by the Beall Funeral Home, Bowie.
