Hannah May, of Melville, died on December 2, 2006. Predeceased in 1980 by her husband, John. Mother and mother-in-law of John and Luz, Dennis and Jill, Alice and Dan Fallon. Grandmother of John, Karen, Laurie, Cameron, Dennis, Kate, Susan and nine great-grandchildren. Sister of Nicholas Krupa. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. (Mike) Bullock, of Farmingdale, died on December 4, 2006. Husband of Deborah. Father of Madelene. Son of Dorothea and the late James Bullock. Brother of Stephen, Kenneth, Edward and Barbara Moore. Schalk, of Levittown, died on December 4, 2006. Wife of the late Fred. Mother of Ricky, Janet Trifaro, Connie Fardella and Roger. Sister of Bonnie Cain, Audrey Hudson and the late Marilyn Geiger. A prayer service was held December 8 at the funeral home with interment following at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood. Anthony J. Nardi, of Newburgh, NY, died on December 6, 2006. Funeral Mass was held at St. Kilian RC Church. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park. Beatrice Froehlich, of Melville died on December 6, 2006. Predeceased in 1978 by her husband, Lawrence. Mother of Lawrence Froehlich and Margaret Flynn. Grandmother of Danielle and Kenneth Conklin, Kate and Theresa Froehlich. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Mass was held December 12 at St. Kilian RC Church with interment following at St. Charles Cemetery. . Henry (Hank) K. Banach Jr., of Melville, formerly of Glen Cove, died suddenly on Dec. 7, 2006 in his 58th year. Beloved husband of Stephanie (Lore). Devoted father of Leigh (Banach) and Bill String and Loren Banach. Cherished son of Henry K. Banach Sr. and the late Magdalene (Duncan) Banach. Loving brother of Mary Ann Banach and Barbara (Walter) Moretto. Dear brother-in-law of Lynn (Lore) and Dan Couture, Ken and Pat Lore, Karen (Lore) and Serge Papasergiou. Adored nephew of many aunts and uncles. Treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Henry K. Banach Jr.

Hank earned his Eagle Scout award in 1964. He graduated from Friends Academy in 1966. He played both baseball (catcher) and basketball for four years. He played football for four years as quarterback and was co-captain his senior year. The team had an undefeated season with a school record of wins.

Hank graduated from St. Lawrence University in 1970. After serving as a lieutenant in Vietnam, he completed his MBA at Adelphi University. He went on to work for Xerox for several years before beginning his final career at the Bank of New York as vice president of securities lending, where he just celebrated his 25th year with the bank.

A memorial service will be held Dec. 16 at Friends Academy, Quaker Meeting House, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Hank's name to the National Stroke Association, 9707 E. Easter Ln., Suite B, Centennial, CO 80112 or the Grenville Baker Boys and Girls Club, 135 Forest Ave., Locust Valley, NY 11560.

Anthony Gaspar Garafalo, 80, of Farmingdale, died Dec. 9, 2006. Husband of Almerina. Father of Mariann Coleman, Teresa Pinkow (Jeff) and Gary Garafalo. Grandfather of 13. Great-grandfather of seven. Arrangements were made by the Oyster Bay Funeral Home. Funeral Mass at St. Paul the Apostle RC Church. Interment Locust Valley Cemetery. Antonia Mariani, of North Massapequa, died on December 9, 2006. Wife of the late Giulio. Mother of Iolanda Bauco and Alberto Mariani. Grandmother of six and great-grandmother of nine. Cassidy, of Plainview, husband, father, brother and friend died on December 9, 2006, after a lengthy illness. He was a US Army Viet Nam veteran and Bronze Medal recipient. Sandra J. Walakovits, of Bethpage, died on December 9, 2006. Wife of the late John. Mother and mother-in-law of Lori and Scott Hoerrner, Kevin and Jean, Debra and John Mitchell, and Steven Walakovits. Sister of David Spratt. Grandmother of Megan, Sara, Christopher, Elizabeth, Kaitlin and John. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Mass was held December 14 at St. Martin of Tours RC Church with interment following at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
