For the second year in a row, Thanksgiving Sunday turned out to be one of the most beautiful days of the Autumn, and a record field of 530 intrepid cross country runners showed up to enjoy a picture perfect morning of running through the trails of Stillwell Woods in Syosset.

Farmingdale Resident Completes Fall Rowing Season With Gold
Megan Toth, a resident of Farmingdale, and a junior at Half Hollow Hills High School East, completed the fall season for the Sagamore Rowing Association and the Crew Club of Oyster Bay by garnering two gold medals at the Long Island Frostbite Regatta held on Nov. 11 on Beekman Beach in Oyster Bay. For her first race, Toth was a coxswain for a girl's varsity quad boat, which placed first. In her second race, Toth was a member of the eight-girl varsity boat, which placed first.
