This past Saturday, Farmingdale held their 13th annual Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce Holiday Parade, which brought out the largest amount of marchers in the parade's history.

Local Brownies and Girl Scouts dressed in creative costumes and walked in the parade while the Farmingdale High School Marching Band provided the music.

The Farmingdale Fire Department chauffeured the parade's special guest, Santa. The Nassau County Police 8th Precinct and the Auxiliary Police provided assistance.

The Chamber of Commerce and President Pete Yovine organized this year's parade. The chamber also donated the candy cane lights that are located along Meritts, Fulton and Conklin Roads.

The Farmingdale Chamber is also a sponsor of the annual holiday lighting of the Tricentennial Tree. They along with the Farmingdale Bethpage Historical Society, The Farmingdale Kiwanis Club and the Village will once again light the tree on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 6 p.m. at the Village Green.
