Rocco F. Oppedisano, of Farmingdale, died on October 15, 2006. Husband of the late Rose. Father and father-in-law of JoAnn and Louis Failla. Also survived by many family members and friends. Ferris Jr., of Coram, formerly of Farmingdale, died on October 17, 2006. Husband of Joan. Father and father-in-law of Janet and Stephen LoBiondo, William and Cheryl Ferris. Grandfather of Courtney, Kathryn, Stephen, Samantha, Mark, William and Brandon. Arrangements were made by McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Mass was held at St. Kilian RC Church. Interment St. Charles Cemetery. Margaret C. Hemberger of Farmingdale, died on October 19, 2006. Wife of the late Irving. Mother and mother-in-law of Don and Virginia Brown, Rochelle and Richard Tauschek and Diane Jones. Grandmother of Christine, Alan, Dawn and Erik. Great-grandmother of Kayla, Ashley and Amber. Arrangements were made by McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home, Inc. Requiem Mass was held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Cremation Followed. Wilbert J. Buck died on October 10, 2006, at the age of 85, of Farmingdale and Lake Pleasant, NY. Husband of 39 years to his wife Jeanne. Survived by his children Karen (John), David (Katrina), Richard (Cheryl), Jeanette, stepson George Hardwick, granddaughters, Jillian, Kimberly, Katherine and Sara. Gramps of Daniel and Matthew Hardwick. Brother of Fred and the late Wilma. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Retired 35-year employee of Grumman Aircraft, Bethpage, proud WW II U.S. Army Purple Heart hero, with 65 Combat missions in the African-European Theatre. Life member of VFW Post 7228, Lake Pleasant, longtime volunteer at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, former 18-year bus driver for the Catholic Charities Senior Program in both Farmingdale and Massapequa Park, President Emeritus of the 42nd BombSquadron of the 17th Bomb Group actively involved for more than 30 years in their annual reunions throughout the United States. In 1939, Wilbert was a member of the first graduating class of W.C. Mepham High School and served many proud years in the school's Alumni Association. Wilbert enjoyed nothing more than the stories he told, and retold to all who listened, of his experiences flying the B-26 Maurader. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation was held October 12 at the funeral home. A religious service was held October 13, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, with interment following at Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn, NY. Memorial donations in Wilbert's name may be sent to St.Luke's Lutheran Church (145 Prospect St., Farmingdale, NY 11735). Mary M. Mulvihill, of Levittown, died on October 11, 2006. Wife of the late Timothy J. Mother and mother-in-law of Michael and Kathleen, Timothy and Maryann, and Colleen and Nicholas Luckner. Grandmother of Nicholas, Thomas and Claire Luckner and Kaitlyn Mulvihill. Also survived by her brother, Dermot Reynolds. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. Dunn, of Bethpage, died on October19, 2006 at the age of 88. Wife of the late Walter. Mother of Walter Jr., Dr. George F. Dunn and the late Capt. Joseph E Dunn (Bethpage Fire Dept.). Grandmother of Walter E. Dunn, III, Gregory E. Dunn, Kathleen Grigo, George F. Dunn, Jr. Joseph F. Dunn and Brian J. Dunn. Great-grandmother of Ryan and Dillon Grigo, and Christina and Michael Dunn. Funeral Mass was held October 21, at St. Martin of Tours RC Church, with interment following at St. Charles Cemetery. Kiesel, of Bethpage, died on October 21, 2006. Husband of Ann. Father of Gerald (deceased), Gary, Laura Soluri, Joseph Faggiano and Jackie Essig. Grandfather of nine. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Mass was October 25, at St. Martin of Tours RC Church, with interment following at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Clifford P. Mackin Jr. died on October 16, 2006, at the age of 82. Husband of Barbara and the late Edythe. Father of Adrienne Carrion, Heather Courtney and Cynthia. Grandfather of Desiree, Shannon, Ryan, Arielle and Tyler. Brother of Marilyn Rudy. Also survived by six nieces and one nephew. Former assistant Principal of Farmingdale High School. Also served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral service was held October 20, at Farmingdale United Methodist Church, with interment following at Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn. Donations in Cliff's name may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
