The Junior Varsity Lady Vikings lost a tough game to the Lady Giants. The Vikings had great TD runs from Heather and Alexis and a touchdown pass from Alyssa to Nicole. The defense was led by Kristen pulling flags all day long.

The Lady Chiefs played hard against a tough Lady Jets team. Sabatina M. led the Lady Chiefs with two long touchdown runs. Big flag pulls by Deanna R., Katie W., Jessica S. Jaclyn S. and Sabatina M., a huge interception by Niamh M. and great defensive pressure by all. The Chiefs success was due to a fantastic coaching job by Lady Chiefs injured player turned coach Danielle C. In the end, the Lady Chiefs were unable to hold off the Lady Jets offense, as the Lady Jets won by two touchdowns.

A chill in the air, but a beautiful day for football as the Steelers battled the Browns. Steeler's touchdowns were scored by Lauren Renna, Nadine Hadnagy, Maggie Fleming and Amanda Tuturro. Kaitie Sutherland scored an extra point. Our defense, Courtney Hroch, Carrie Godas, Gina Cristallo and Justine Fernandez played an excellent game. Emily McCann had a beautiful catch and she also snapped the ball great. For the Browns, Jenna Crawford had an unbelievable defense play when she dove for the flag. Cara Kelly had a spectacular interception and touchdown. Final score: Steelers 32 Browns 6. The "Little Giants" sure know how to put on a great show. There were way too many awesome plays to list them all, but among the highlights were touchdowns by Jack Macaluso, Dominick Baranello, Vincent Gagliardi, and Stephen Pantano. Michael Muccio-Schrimpe made great yardage and a "tackle". Braden Weill and Mark Bakich were star flag-pullers making more "tackles" than we could count. Coach Dominick did a great job standing in for Coach Ralph for this game. On the first Sunday of real football weather, the Peanut Jets looked like little pros. Michael T. scored the first touchdown. Then, flags were flyin' thanks to the quick hands of Ryan S., Nicolena S., and Matthew M. Michael A. stood his ground as defensive back batting down a pass from the Colts in mid-air. Nicolas R., Jake F. and Nicolena S. all had great runs. In the second half, Michael T. threw an awe-inspiring pass to Anna Kate D. who took it to the end zone with a 40-yard run. Then, Matthew M. followed up with another touchdown to top off an incredible game.

The Giants battled a tough Patriots squad. The potent Giant offense was once again front and center, this week led by Dean Pagano, Kevin DiLeonardo and Sean Moloney, each with touchdown runs or catches. On defense, the Giants stifled the Pats ground and air game. The total team effort was led by the flagging pulling and relentless pursuit of Tyler Moloney, Tom Donovan, Joseph Vigliano, Connor Hess, Sean McCann and Jack Livingston.

For the Patriots, Nick "Touchdown Twin" Cappellino threw a quick little pass to Chris "The Defender" Stauber, Cappellino then ran around the end for a hand off from Stauber, and took it all the way for the Patriots first TD. There were major run contributions from Thomas "Lighting" Gallo, Michael "Downtown" Browne, Nick "Fireball" Fiorentino and Nick "the Quick" Reid. Later, the ball went to Anthony "The Boomer" Barbuto who cut and slashed his way for a spectacular touchdown. Dayna "The Scooter" D'Antonio, Michael "Crazy Legs" Simmons and The Trevornator played key roles both on offense and defense. On the Patriots last possession, the Boomer found the Defender deep in Giant territory, but at the last second the defense deflected the ball.

The Browns came out running and gunning hoping to keep the Vikings off balance. Thomas Catalano and Johanna Chernakoff made some great runs, and Jesse Nicolich and Michelle Lapidus did great at quarterback. Robbie Ryan, Andrew D'Abbraccio and Joe Healey - also did a great job on offense/defense against the Vikings. Coach Joe and Coach Anthony are very proud of the team's efforts and sorely missed Connor McCann, Billy Andrade and Brandon McGlynn this week. The Browns took on a talented and determined Steelers squad this past Sunday. The Browns offense, led by Bryan Labas at quarterback, turned in some big plays. Scott DePalma and Nick DeMartino reeled off long touchdown runs to provide the scoring. Brian Bertrano and Sean Yashnyk also pitched in with some key first down catches to keep drives alive. The Browns defense was tested all day by the Steeler ground and air attack. Leading the team effort on "D" were Paul Desimone, Tim Acton, Ryan Goldberg and Steven Kelly. The Steelers earned their first win of the season beating the Jets, 19-7. Great defense by Michael Smith and Chris McGlynn who returned an interception for a touchdown. The offense was led by Robert Brown who threw two touchdowns to Brendan Gruener and Chris McGlynn.

There was also two touchdown runs by Joe and James. Will Rogers was big with three extra point catches. Final score: Steelers 39 Giants 10.

The Chiefs played a great game against the Panthers. Defensive Coordinator/player, PJ Spadalik, led the Chiefs with four interceptions, two of which he ran back for touchdowns. Mike Castagnaro also intercepted a ball and ran it back for a touchdown. PJ hit Mike C., with a touchdown pass. Nicky Catalano, Garrett O'Reilly, Andrew Phillips, Brian McGuiness and the rest of the Chiefs all chipped in to provide awesome defensive pressure. Excellent job passing, moving the ball up the field and offensive pressure by Michael Waldman and Angelo Mauro. Tremendous offensive pressure by Tyler Sullivan, Andrew, Brian, Mike and Nicky. Late in the second half, Michael connected with Brian who ran the ball for a long touchdown to put the Chiefs in good position to win the game. Final Score, Chiefs 30, Panthers 20.

The Jet and Colts played a tight game Sunday. Paul Cohen was a force for the Jets with numerous long gains on the ground. The three Joe's, Valente, McBane and Salonia, all made key contributions on both sides of the ball as the Jets held on for the win.

Behind the pin-point passing of Ian Kornfeld and Joey Kuchinskas, the Patriots rebounded from two heart-breaking losses to beat the Giants 38-6. Thomas Gehlback scored two touchdowns after leaping high in the air to catch both of them. Garrett Kuppelmeyer rushed for two long touchdowns, James Holman made an incredible over the shoulder catch for a touchdown and Frank Gagliardi made two spectacular catches in traffic to keep drives alive. The defense was solid as they swarmed the pesky and determined Giants all afternoon. Philip Roedig led the team in tackles. RJ Maurice put pressure on the quarterback all day, and Garrett had two sacks. Thomas, Joey and Ian also had key interceptions.

The Steelers welcomed two of "The Walking Wounded" (Steve Kayola, two touchdown passes, three interceptions, one returned for a touchdown and Lucas Sall, three touchdown passes and over 200 yards passing, all on a banged up knee) back to action. Despite losing 39-38, the Steelers played their best game of the season. Jonathan Sindicic had one of the best individual performances scoring four touchdowns.
