Thomas M. O'Brien, of Bethpage, died at home on October 4, 2006. U.S. Army Air Force Veteran, Retired NYCPD Detective. Husband of 57 years to Ruth (nee Newell). Father of Thomas (Diane), Maureen (Helen Buschmann), Colleen (the late Dawes), Pegeen (Louie Roberto), Eileen, Doreen (Joe LaBella) and Terrence. Brother of Jack, and predeceased by sisters, Marion O'Brien and Margaret Godin. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. Cremation was private. Memorial Mass is October 13, at 9:45 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours RC Church, with entombment of ashes following at Calverton National Cemetery.
