Sister of Louise Zito, Theresa Dalton, and Alfonso Friscia. Also survived by her former husband, Santo Caruso. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. Irene Knepp, of Patchogue, formerly of Bethpage, died on Aug. 19, 2006. Wife of the late Blair W. Knepp (Dec 1999). Mother of David and the late Kathryn Hoey. Rita M. Zaleski (nee Murray), of Brooklyn, died on Aug. 21, 2006. Predeceased by her husband, Roman, and her son, Robert. Mother of Geraldine Fiore and her husband, Richard. Robert Joseph Bauer, 75, formerly of Farmingdale, died on Aug. 29, 2006 in Mesa, AZ. He is survived by his wife Claire Dunbar and their four sons, Robert, Michael, Harold and Warren, four daughters-in-law, Carolyn, Karen, Victoria and Mary and 10 grandchildren. Robert was born in Brooklyn on Dec. 16, 1930 and was a Korean War veteran. He worked for NY Telephone Co. and Pacific Telesis for 42 years. Robert lived in Farmingdale for 24 years and was a member of St. Kilian Parish. He also lived in San Jose, CA, for 16 years and Sun Lakes, AZ, for 12 years. Arrangements were made by the Bueler Mortuary, Chandler, AZ. Services were held at St. Steven's Catholic Church, Sun Lakes on Sept. 6. Inurnment with military honors at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
