Call for Traffic Study After Tragic Accidents
In response to the accident that took three lives and left another hospitalized a few weeks ago in Farmingdale, Senator Kemp Hannon (6th Senate District) and local resident Stacey Tranchina are calling for action from the Nassau County Department of Public Works.

Minute of History at Village Pops Concerts
While this is the 24th season of Village Pops, it is the 20th year of the Minute of History, a series of lectures provided by local community members and representatives about the community's past. Farmingdale Village Historian Bill Johnston of the Farmingdale-Bethpage Historical Society will again be organizing these presentations. The Story of Village Hall, presented by Farmingdale Mayor George J. Graf was presented at the Pops' opening night on June 28.

June 16 Games: After another two weeks of rainouts, the OTHG was finally able to find their way onto the fields without the threat of rain, hopefully the pattern of two weeks of rainouts followed by one week of play will finally be broken.

Farmingdale's Van Meter Competes in HIP Grand Slam Challenge
Joe Van Meter, a short stop/second baseman for St. Dominic's High School, competed in the second annual HIP Grand Slam Challenge at Citibank Park with over 1,300 cheering fans in attendance. The exciting game ended with the Suffolk County All-Stars defeating the Nassau County All-Stars, 11-8, giving Suffolk two straight wins. Van Meter is a resident of Farmingdale.
