Gardino died at the age of 81, also known as "The Great Gardino" on May 28, at Stony Brook University Hospital after a short illness. George was an entertainer, professional magician, a Navy WW II veteran, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Gardino, children Anna Marie Van Nattan and her husband, Dean of Saratoga, NY, Guy Gardino and fiancé Jenna Masucci, Theresa Davoult and husband, Paul, Carrie Gardino and fiancé, Christopher Parris and his youngest son, Nicholas Gardino.
