On behalf of our administration, teachers, support staff and especially our students, we would like to thank the Farmingdale community for your support and passage of our 2006-07 school district budget. We realize the tax burden our residents already shoulder, and that is why we worked diligently to keep the tax impact of this budget as low as possible. The outcome of the May 16 budget vote is in large measure a reflection of the dynamic relationship among parents, community members, teachers, the administration and the board of education, as well as evidence of the value of multiyear planning. We are pleased to see that our community continues to place a high value on quality education.

The Farmingdale School District has been extremely successful in consistently improving our instructional program, as the numerous accomplishments of our students and staff demonstrate. We have always been committed to academic excellence and believe that the passed budget will enable the district to continue its academic growth, while keeping the financial impact on our residents to a minimum. In the coming year, we will dedicate ourselves to increasing efficiencies while ensuring that educational standards remain high.
