I am writing this letter to you as president of the Farmingdale Council of PTAs. After significant discussion and thoughtful consideration of the school budget that was adopted by the Farmingdale Board of Education, PTA Council has decided to take a position on it. Our units have listened carefully to the budget presentations given by both administrators and board members at our recent meetings. They listened to our concerns and answered our questions. As a result, our units voted and have found this year's school budget to be educationally sound and fiscally responsible. Therefore, the Farmingdale Council of PTAs in an effort to advocate for a quality education for the children of Farmingdale urge you, the residents of the Farmingdale School District, to vote YES for this year's school budget.

Please take the time to come out and vote on Tuesday, May16. Voting will take place at the Howitt Middle School East Gym between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. Make your vote count.

Linda Levatino
PTA Council President
