Registration for the summer PAL baseball/softball program will be held on: Tuesday, May 2 and Monday, May 8 at Howitt Middle School, East Cafeteria from 7 to 9 p.m. The summer baseball/softball season begins July 1 and runs through Sept. 4. It is open to children 5-17-years-old. For more information call the PAL clubhouse at 249-6825. The Farmingdale Soccer Club will be holding its registration for the fall season in the Community Room at Allen Park on May 20-31 and June 3-4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration for the fall season is $95 and registration for both the fall and spring 2007 season is $120. There will be a $20 late fee for those registering after June 25. For more information call 420-1149.

The Wantagh-Seaford PAL Unit is holding registration for the Girls Summer Fastpitch softball program. Eligible players for the senior division are those entering grades 9-12 in September 2006 and graduating seniors (exceptions apply). A new junior division is being formed to include students entering grades 7-8 in the fall. Teams will usually play three times a week in July and August. There's a possibility for one double-header on Sunday evening under the lights during the season.

The fee is $100, which includes a full uniform, 14-game schedule and playoff week, trophies and weekly standings. An additional $3 may be assessed for names on uniforms.

Registration are at the Wantagh-Seaford PAL Office, Cedar Creek Park, Merrick Road, Wantagh - Field #5 in the brick building, on Wednesday, May 3 from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, May 13 from 2 to 6 p.m. and Sunday, May 21 from noon to 4 p.m.

This program is open to all girls in Levittown, Wantagh, Seaford, Plainedge, Merrick, Massapequa, Bellmore, Farmingdale, East Meadow, Bethpage and Island Trees.

Registration for the Farmingdale Titans youth football and cheerleading 2006 continues. Fees for 5/6-year-olds are $75 and all other age groups are $95, both include $30 in prepaid charges as a way to reduce the fees. In person registration will also be held at the Farmingdale Community Summit Council Expo and Health Fair on Thursday, May 11 from 6-8:30 p.m. in the Farmingdale High School gymnasium. FCNY (Futbol Club of NY), a registered US Club Soccer organization, will be holding tryouts for boys and girls soccer teams ages 8 through 15. They are looking to enter competitive teams into the US Club Soccer State Cup this spring, as well as entering teams into the new LIYSL in the fall of 2006. The Mid-Island Y Jewish Community Center is forming a girls soccer team for ages 8-15 that will compete in a spring/summer, indoor/outdoor league. Led by experienced coaches, the girls will participate in local competitions. Practices will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 to 6 p.m., the first practice is scheduled for Monday, May 8. The JCC is located at 45 Manetto Hill Road in Plainview. The fee, which includes a uniform, is $225 for JCC members and $325 for non-members. Pre-registration is required by Sunday, May 7.
