Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District), author of New York State's .08 law, has announced his support for a new plan being proposed by Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice to combat drunk driving. Senator Fuschillo joined District Attorney Rice, Senator Michael A.L. Balboni (7th Senate District), law enforcement officials and victims' advocates at a recent press conference to unveil the new plan.

The public will have their final chance to provide their input on the Farmingdale School District's proposed 2006-07 budget. At this time, the district is looking at a proposed budget increase of 4.48 percent. This is less than one-third of 1 percent greater than the 4.17 percent increase that would occur under a contingent budget for 2006-07.
