The Farmingdale Library budget vote and election of library trustee is scheduled for Tuesday, April 4 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Voter registration is available at Howitt Middle School during school hours. The proposed budget was mailed to Farmingdale School District 22 residents. The 2006/2007 budget of $3,239,435 reflects a 1.5 percent tax levy increase over last year. Library taxes are based on the assessed value of your property multiplied by the library tax rate. According to the library's website, all single-family houses in the Farmingdale library district have a library tax rate of 11.673.
