Nate Brese of Farmingdale (#24) makes his way around Caumsett State Park

Congratulations to Michael Nusblat and Nate Brese of Farmingdale, both of whom successfully completed the 4th annual Caumsett Park 50 kilometer run, held on Sunday morning March 5.

The 53-year-old Nusblat crossed the finish line in 4 hours, 38 minutes, and 14 seconds, good for 20th place overall in the men's division. The 41-year-old Brese finished the 31.07 mile course in 4:55:50, earning 32nd place in the men's division. Both Nusblat and Brese are members of the Greater Long Island Running Club, which managed the run.

This year's Caumsett 50 Kilometer served as the USA Track & Field 50 kilometer road championship as well as the 50 kilometer road championship of USATF's Long Island Association. There were 114 intrepid ultra runners registered for the run, and 83 of them crossed the finish line, both race records.
