Seven Vie for Two Open Village Trustee Positions
Seven residents are seeking election to two open trustee positions on the Farmingdale Village Board. Trustees Ted Dorfmeister and Dr. Benjamin Giminaro are not seeking re-election. The trustee term is two years. The village has reduced the number of village justice seats from two to one. Both current village justices are seeking re-election to that one seat. The village justice term is four years. Village justice candidates appear on page 3.

Farmingdale Teams Score at North Fork Bank 3x2 Mile Trail Relay
Feb. 26 was one of the coldest mornings of the Winter, but it didn't deter 108 teams of three runners each from showing up at Bethpage State Park for the 6th annual North Fork Bank 3 Runner x 2 Mile Trail Relay, and it certainly didn't deter teams from the Farmingdale-based Runner's Edge from taking top honors in the Men's Masters and Men's Senior Masters Divisions of the Relay, or the team of two Farmingdale residents and a Bethpage resident that scored first in the Coed Senior Masters Division.

Registration for the 2006 Hawk football and cheerleading seasons will be held at Allen Park on Saturday, April 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Football: 5-14 years old, Cheerleading: 5-13 years old, All-Star Cheerleading: 14-17 years old.
