Vision LI Renders Farmingdale's Future from Residents' Hopes, Fears
During the past two weeks Vision Long Island and the Village of Farmingdale offered residents two open forums to voice their visions for the future of Farmingdale. The events culminated at Howitt Middle School with an overview of resident's hopes and fears as well as ways to implement their ideas.

LI Volunteer Hall of Fame Inducts 13 Honorees
Working closely with New York State Parks Commissioner Bernadette Castro, the Long Island Volunteer Hall of Fame will now have a permanent home at Bethpage State Park (host of the U.S. Open 2002 and 2009) in Farmingdale, New York. To commemorate inductees, benches with inscribed plaques were installed at the Carlyle on the Green clubhouse grounds and Blue, Green, and Yellow golf course tees.

Registration Information
Registration is currently under way for 15 positions to form the Under-19 Long Island Colts high school boys rugby team. Yearly dues are $110 and financial assistance and rugby sponsorships are available.

Champion Runner Byron Lane to Appear at GLIRC Meeting
The featured speaker at the Tuesday, March 21 Open Meeting of the Greater Long Island Running Club will be 2005 New York UltraRunning Overall Champion Byron Lane. The meeting will be held in the new auditorium at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library starting promptly at 8 p.m. The general public is cordially invited to attend.
