Helen O. Thompson, 88, of Jupiter, FL, formerly of Farmingdale, died on Dec. 9, 2005. Wife of the late Lloyd F. Mother of Barbara and Lloyd E. (Sue). Grandmother of Eric, Bonnie Livingston and Susan Cameron (Scott). Great-grandmother of Justin and Madison Cameron. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Farmingdale.

Marie F. "Pat" Finch (nee Burren), of Chesapeake Beach, MD, formerly of Long Island, died on Dec. 15, 2005. She was a US Navy veteran of WWII. Sister of Gloria Orticelle, Florence Lancaster, both of Uniondale, Jeannie Rydberg of Massapequa Park, Patricia Schwenk of Scotia, NY, and Shirley Harkins of Chesapeake Beach. She was predeceased by five brothers, Charles, Walter, Francis, Richard and Fritz Burren. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Frank A. Bullara, of East Farmingdale, died on Dec. 15, 2005. He was a WWII US Army veteran. He was predeceased in April 2005 by his wife Marie. Father of Frank M. Marjorie Podlewski, 83, of West Babylon, formerly of Farmingdale, died on Dec. 16, 2005. Wife of the late William. Mother of William (Veronica) and Susan Klaus (John). Helen (Perchy) Pauline Holter, a resident of Darien, CT for eight and 1/2 years, passed away on Dec. 25, 2005 in Darien. She lived in Brooklyn, then Farmingdale until 1997. Born Oct. 22, 1911 in Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard W. Perchy and Blanch Naugle Perchy. She was 94. Mrs. Holter graduated from Altoona High School in 1932, received a diploma as a registered nurse from Bushwick Hospital and Jewett Training School for Nurses, Brooklyn in 1935.
She worked as a registered professional nurse for 45 years. She worked at Prospect Heights Hospital in Brooklyn until 1959 and then at Mid Island Hospital in Bethpage until her retirement in 1977. She was a member of the New York State Nurses Association.
Mrs. Holter was a dedicated nurse; a lover of people; a true humanitarian; an avid reader; crocheter of blankets; an avid sports fan especially the New York Yankees.
Helen is survived by a son, Thomas H. Holter of Nashville, TN; a daughter, Joan H. Gildea of Darien, CT; and two grandchildren, James T. and Megan C. Gildea both of Darien. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas O. Holter in 1984.
The family received friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, Darien, CT on Dec. 28, 2005 with a service following. Interment private.
