At the monthly Village Board of Trustee's meeting held on Oct. 18 water was the main topic of conversation.

Sports Policy Discussed at Board Meeting
Special presentations opened this month's board of education meeting on Oct. 19. The presentations given firstly by the PTA to the board to recognize the work they have done for the students. The second presentation was the annual administrative interns' presentation. The three interns, Danielle Grandin, Jamina Clay, and Fred Kaden each presented the board with a description and power point demonstration on different portions of the school district. This year's presentations dealt with the dedicated space in the schools and the comprehensive school district website.

Flag Football - Week 6
Despite the wind and cold, the Steelers still had a great game on Sunday. The first touchdown of the game was made by Devin Miller. Kyle Tucker had many nice runs and played a good defensive game. Kevin Mumolo improves with each week; this game he was a force on the defense. Thomas Weber made a beautiful run for 40 yards and proved hard to catch scoring 2 TD's. The other play was a pass by Daniel Dougherty which Thomas showed great concentration and caught it while being pressured by two Packers and ran it in for a touchdown. Daniel Dougherty not only made that pass but he made many others which helped advance the team down the field. He also played a very strong defensive game. Robert Mullane made a nice play running for 10 yards. Kevin Costanza ran up the side line and was unstoppable as he scored a nice touchdown. Not to mention, he plays a very strong defensive game. Michael Theim had another nice game this week running 10 yards.

St. Kilian CYO Announces Girls Volleyball Clinic
St.Kilian CYO will be hosting a girls volleyball clinic on Sunday, Oct. 30 in the St. Kilian gym from 3-6 p.m. This clinic is open to all local girls in grades five through eight who might be interested in participating in CYO team league play this upcoming winter season or who may just want to find out if playing volleyball is in their future! The cost is $10 payable upon entrance. Please come prepared for fun and wear comfortable clothing and sneakers.
