Around the turn of the century Farmingdale was home to a half dozen sauerkraut and pickle plants with plentiful supplies of cabbage and cucumbers being raised on local farms. One of the plans was J. Keller and Sons, located on South Front Street east of Secatogue Avenue, near the LIRR station. This is a 1931 photo.
