The Farmingdale Unit of the Nassau County Police Activity League (PAL) will hold registration for its fall/winter bowling program on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at Farmingdale Lanes on Conklin Street from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The fee is $15. Bowling will be on each Wednesday beginning Sept. 21 and will run until the beginning of April. The weekly cost is $5 for two games and shoe rental. Practice is at 4:20 p.m. with games beginning at 4:30 p.m. St. Kilian CYO will be holding their final registration for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2005 Boys Basketball season on Wednesday, Sept. 14 in the St Kilian auditorium lobby located on Cherry Street, from 7-9 p.m. Boys in grades 3-8 are invited to sign up. The number of teams formed will ultimately be determined by overall enrollment in an age group. The total cost due at the time of registration is $130. This fee includes $30 in prepaid raffle books. The Farmingdale Swim Club is hosting registration on Sept. 12-13 from 7-8 p.m. for all returning swimmers. Registration for new and out of district swimmers will be held on Sept. 14-15 from 7-8 p.m. in the pool lobby of Farmingdale High School. Children's swimsuits are required, as they will be swimming. FSC is open to boys and girls ages 7-18 and offers pre-team, developmental and intensive levels. For more information call Virginia Boccio at 753-0089.
