The 2005 Playoffs have begun for the Boys Majors Division and a few surprises have already happened. The seventh place Mets eliminated the fourth place Thunder in the second round of the playoffs. The Mets were paced by their staring pitcher Michael Oppedisano with five solid innings and relieved by Chris Petrullo. The final score was Mets 9-Thunder 5. The Express beat the 8-7 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Vincent Valinoti laid down a perfect suicide squeeze bunt to bring home the winning run. The loss by the Raptors eliminated them from the playoff picture. In a battle between the two top seated teams, the Riverdogs beat the Lynx by a score of 10-8. This game saw the score tied three different times with the Riverdogs finally coming out on top. This week will determine who will play for the 2005 Championship.
