Registration for the Summer PAL Baseball/Softball program and Track program will be held on Thursday, April 14 and Monday, April 18 at Howitt Middle School, West Cafeteria from 7-9 p.m. The summer baseball/softball season begins July 1 and is open to children 5-17-years old. Registration for the Farmingdale Hawks 2005 season will be at the Community Center at Allen Park on the following dates: Friday, April 8; 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, April 9; 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Football teams play only in Nassau County and take buses to away games. The girls compete in cheerleading competitions and take team trips. Football teams are available for ages 5-14. Cheerleading is available to ages 6-13. The New Yorker's Baseball team is looking for high school graduates, college students and baseball players ages 18 and over to play in the summer and fall season. The team needs a few good players to fill open spots: pitchers, catcher, third baseman, shortstop and outfielder. The team plays on Sundays at Levittown Memorial High School field (behind LMEC).
