Senator Kemp Hannon announced that the 2005-2006 Legislative Budget agreement provides $24.6 billion, reflecting an increase of $848 million in formula driven and other educational assistance to schools across New York State.

FHS Hockey Player Represents NC in Vytra Cup
Farmingdale High School junior Kenny Gallart was a member of the high school hockey all-star team that represented Nassau County in the 9th Annual Vytra Cup Battle of Long Island. Gallart, who plays on the Levittown Ice Falcons, competed in Nassau Coliseum in front of 3,500 fans. The game was close throughout, and Suffolk iced the victory, 5-3, with an open-net goal in the third period. Sponsored by Vytra Health Plans, Newsday and the New York Islanders, the event featured a raffle to benefit All Island Handicapped Sports, a non-profit organization that runs programs for physically challenged children.

Registration Information
Registration for the Summer PAL Baseball/Softball program and Track program will be held on Thursday, April 14 and Monday, April 18 at Howitt Middle School, West Cafeteria from 7-9 p.m. The summer baseball/softball season begins July 1 and is open to children 5-17-years old. Track is open to boys and girls between the ages of 5-15. Meets are held on Saturdays with one practice per week. For more information call the PAL clubhouse at 249-6825.
