Eighth Squad detectives from the Nassau County Police Department reported that four arrests were made for a gang assault that occurred in South Farmingdale on March 19 at 11:15 p.m.
Detectives report that during a party in the woods at the west end of 11th Street, Matthew Martocci, 17, of Ozone Park, Salvator Gurino, 18, Louis Trinchese, both of Howard Beach and Gene Vignola, 18, of Farmingdale were involved in a gang assault during which three male victims, all aged 17, received injuries.
According to the police report, one male victim suffered two stab wounds to the back. A second male victim was struck in the face with an unknown object causing head/face wounds. A third male was struck in the face with an unknown object and suffered head/face wounds. The victims were all transported to Nassau University Medical Center where they were admitted for treatment.
Martocci was charged with Gang Assault 1st Degree. Gurino was charged with Gang Assault 1st Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. Vignola was charged with Gang Assault 1st Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree. Trinchese was charged with Assault 1st Degree and Gang Assault 2nd Degree. All four defendants were arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on March 21.
