Sabellico Officially Announces Candidacy for 14th Legislative District
Thomas M. Sabellico, a Farmingdale resident, who has been an active community leader for 30 years, announced his candidacy as the Republican Party candidate for the 14th District legislative seat at a press conference held at Ellsworth Allen Park in Farmingdale earlier this week. He was joined by Congressman Peter King, Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor John Venditto, Minority Leader of the Nassau Legislature Peter Schmitt, NYS Assemblyman Joseph Saladino and Town of Oyster Bay Clerk Steven Labriola.
CCAF General Meeting Welcomes Councilwoman Mary McCaffery
The CCAF organization held its general meeting on Feb. 17 and welcomed Town of Oyster Bay Councilwoman Mary McCaffery. Prior to inviting the councilwoman up to the podium, CCAF President Mike Grello reported that the newly formed school committee has been activated and is looking forward to hosting its first forum.
3rd Annual Farmingdale Jumps Held
The Farmingdale Community Summit Council presented the third annual Farmingdale Jumps basketball game on February 15. The event featured the Harlem Wizards versus a team consisting of teachers and administrators from the Farmingdale School District. The event was sponsored by the Farmingdale Community Summit Council, The Farmingdale Council of PTAs and Winning Beyond Winning. Proceeds from the event will be utilized by all three organizations to continue their programs to benefit our community.
Registration for the 2005 season of Farmingdale Titans Youth Football and Cheerleading organization will be on Friday, March 11 from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, March 12 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Allan Park Community Center. For more information call 777-3700.
