For the second time in three games, Farmingdale came away with a double-overtime road victory, this time defeating The College of Staten Island 96-94. The Rams led by 12 with six minutes remaining in regulation before Staten Island (12-10) tied the score with 30 seconds left to force overtime. Farmingdale's Brandon Nieves (Harlem, NY/All Hallows) scored eight of his team-high 26 points in overtime leading the Rams down the stretch. Nieves added 10 rebounds and four assists for Farmingdale (15-6, 11-0 Skyline), who saw four players score in double figures. Kenny McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows) had his third straight double-double, scoring 21 points and grabbing a game-high 18 rebounds for Farmingdale. Dashawn Warren (Astoria, NY/W.C. Bryant) and Damien McKenzie (Lakeview, NY/Malverne) chipped in with 15 points each for the Rams, who resume Skyline play tomorrow night at Stevens Tech. Senior guard Mike Stewart (Brooklyn, NY/George Westinghouse) scored 31 points and senior forward John Smith (Queens, NY/Bayside) added 22 points and 14 rebounds in defeat for the Dolphins. The Farmingdale State Men's Basketball team clinched the #1 seed in the conference to guarantee home court advantage in the upcoming Skyline playoffs, with an 80-70 victory over Stevens (11-10, 7-4) on Wednesday night. The Rams, who have won nine of their last 10 games, improved to 16-6 overall and remain a perfect 12-0 in Skyline play. Farmingdale jumped out to a quick 9-2 lead in the first two minutes of the game with a 3-pointer by freshman Peter Lipka (Shelton, CT/Shelton) and two consecutive three's by freshman Brandon Nieves (Harlem, NY/All Hallows). The Rams held a 39-24 lead at the half and would not let the lead slip past nine points throughout the second. Farmingdale finished the game shooting 54.0 percent, converting on seven of 12 attempts from 3-point territory, and held a 38-29 rebounding advantage. Nieves led Farmingdale with 24 points - 18 in the first half shooting 7-for-7. Junior Kenny McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows) scored his fourth double-double in as many games finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Dashawn Warren (Astoria, NY/W.C. Bryant) contributed 11 point, six rebounds and four assists. Stevens Waleed Farid (Woodside, NY/Stuyvesant) finished with 25 points and three steals, while Tim Williams (Selden, NY/Newfield) tallied 14 points and six rebounds for the Ducks. Skyline Conference playoffs will begin on Feb. 22 with the quarterfinal rounds, followed by the semifinals on Feb. 24 and the finals on the Feb. 26. Kenny McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows) and Peter Lipka (Shelton, CT/Shelton) led the Rams (17-6, 13-0) to a 67-54 Valentine's night Skyline victory over St. Joseph's (9-12, 4-7). McMillan finished with a game-high 19 points, eight rebounds and six assists, while Lipka notched 16 points and four rebounds for Farmingdale. The Rams trailed 32-26 at the half, but shot 60.7 percent from the field to help them towards a comeback win. Alvin Bray (Brentwood, NY/Benjamin E. Mays) led the Golden Eagles with 12 points. Mike Massa (St. James, NY/Smithtown) totaled 11 points and eight rebounds, while Stu Coleman added 10 points. Sharon Billips (Brooklyn, NY/John Jay) continued her scoring frenzy as she led Farmingdale State (16-4) with a game-high 31 points in an 81-65 win over visiting Briarcliffe College. Billips added eight rebounds, four assists and four blocks for the night. Jenea Lockley (Roslyn, NY/Roslyn) finished with 14 points and seven rebounds for Farmingdale and Ishawna West (Hempstead, NY/Hempstead) totaled 13 points. Toni Jones (Brooklyn, NY) scored 26 points for the Seahawks, while Jessica Rourke (Riverhead, NY) finished with 15 points. Marvasia Boldon (Elmont, NY) just missed a double-double with 16 rebounds and nine points. Farmingdale State improved to 17-4, 11-1 Skyline with an 84-15 victory over Maritime College. Sharon Billips (Brooklyn, NY/John Jay) led the Rams with 23 points and nine rebounds, along with four others in double figures. Jenea Lockley (Roslyn, NY/Roslyn) and Angela Williams (New York, NY/Murry Bergtraum) finished with double-doubles for Farmingdale. Lockley had 15 points, 11 boards and six blocks, while Williams tallied 12 points, 10 boards and two blocks. Kimberly Lund (North Rockland, NY/North Rockland) scored 11 points for the Privateers. Jeanette Golson (Brooklyn, NY/Transit Tech) finished with four points, seven rebounds and three blocks.

Farmingdale State (18-4, 12-1) picked up another conference victory with an 80-44 win over visiting St. Joseph's (7-16, 2-9) in the first game of a Valentine's Day double-header. Sharon Billips (Brooklyn, NY/John Jay) led the scoring for the Rams with 23 points and nine rebounds. Jenea Lockley (Roslyn, NY/Roslyn) posted a double-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. Dankery Perez (Manhattan, NY/Manhattan Center) finished with 12 points and six assists. Jessie Brennan (Shirley, NY/Longwood) scored 10 points, grabbed seven rebounds and blocked four shots for the Golden Eagles. Kelly Murphy (Remsenburg, NY/Eastport) finished with nine points and a team leading four assists.
