In August 2002, I went for my routine mammography. Within hours my doctor called and said to make an appointment with a breast surgeon. Needless to say I was numb at first, I immediately made an appointment with the surgeon and he had me schedule a biopsy. Everyone said, don't worry, 90 percent of the time they are negative. I guess I was in denial, so in September off we went to California for vacation, with our friends Linda and Tony, for two weeks. Near the end of the vacation and as Jim and I were coming out of the San Diego Zoo I received a phone call from my son saying to call my doctor.
The New Yorkers Baseball team is looking for high school graduates, college students and baseball players ages 18 and over to play in the summer and fall season. The team needs a few good players to fill open spots: pitchers, catcher, third-baseman, short stop and outfielder. The team plays on Sundays at Levittown Memorial High School field (behind LMEC). Some travel is involved in the MABL league. Players from all areas are welcome. For more information call Doug at 579-7659 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
