Over the Hill is an arc-pitch (6-12') softball league that consists of 12 teams that play with rule modifications that are geared toward safety (double first-base, no sliding, etc.). The level of play is competitive and spirited. Games are nine innings long with a continuous batting order, free substitutions, and each at-bat begins with a 1-1 count. The league plays a 16-game schedule with a year-end charity tournament (minimum three games), which are played on Friday nights at 7, 8:20 or 9:40 p.m. at Allen Park on Motor Avenue in Farmingdale. The Levittown New Yorkers Baseball team is looking for high school graduates, college students and baseball players ages 18 and over to play in the summer and fall season. Some travel is involved in the MABL league. Currently the team is comprised of players from Division Avenue High School, MacArthur High School and St. Mary's High School.
