He was a retired Petty Officer USNR, 30-year veteran and 20-year Public Safety Officer for Adelphi University. Husband of 35 years to Joyce. Father and father-in-law of Lisa and Steven Omeis, Irene and Matthew Gilbert, Melissa Davis and Keith Davis. Pop-pop of Kelsey and Steven Omeis and Emily Gilbert. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church. Interment St. Charles Cemetery. James J. Boyle of Edgewater, FL(formerly of Farmingdale)passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at the age of 88. US Army Captain, veteran of WW2 and Silver Star recipient for bravery, Beloved husband of Lois and wonderful, loving father of Barbara, Gerrie, Rosemary (Rod) and Jamie (Susan) and grandfather of nine and great-grandfather of five.
