Farmingdale Baseball League's Boys Seniors Division teams; the GreenDogs and the Knights.

As Major League Baseball's postseason came to an end, Farmingdale was still home to many exciting baseball games in late October.

Farmingdale Baseball League's Boys Seniors Division had two talented 12-year-old youth baseball teams playing in NJBL's 2004 Fall baseball program. Having played many teams from Oyster Bay to Kings Park and everywhere in between since early September, the Farmingdale GreenDogs and the Farmingdale Knights finally played each other in a hometown double-header at Ellsworth Allen Park on Oct. 30. Fittingly enough, the Knights and the GreenDogs split the double-header in front of a hometown crowd - giving both teams, and their fans, reason to celebrate.

The players on both teams possessed many similarities. They were all very motivated and skilled athletes with a strong passion for the game and a common desire to excel. Both teams had outstanding pitchers, powerful batters and solid fielders. The knowledgeable coaching staff of each team had done an awesome job with their players through the season. The only noticeable difference between the two teams was the opposite colors of their uniforms - one green with white, the other white with green.

Team managers Ike Galanoudis (GreenDogs) and Ken Kohlmann (Knights) - who have shared a good friendship through many FBLI baseball seasons - take great pride in the accomplishments of their respective groups. Farmingdale Baseball League would like to congratulate the members of both teams for their dedicated and successful Fall seasons.
