Dorothy Beth Ruettgers, a longtime resident of Farmingdale, and more recently residing in Huntington Hills Center in Melville, died on Nov. 9, 2004. Cousin of Ruth Mace, Edith Klarman, Richard Tyndall, Mary MacDonald and Arthur Vanderhoogf. She attended Farmingdale Public Schools, grades 1 to 12. She was a graduate of Douglass College, Rutgers University with a BA degree, and obtained a master's degree at both Columbia and Hofstra Universities. In 1959 she was a Fullbright exchange teacher in England. After retiring form public school education she was an adjunct professor for 12 years at Hofstra University. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home. A religious service was held on Nov. 13 at the Farmingdale United Methodist Church. Interment Amityville Cemetery.
