The Oyster Bay Town Board has rescheduled the meeting of Tuesday, Nov. 23 to Tuesday, Nov. 16 to consider a request for a special use permit to construct a Stop & Shop supermarket in Farmingdale, according to Town Councilman Anthony D. Macagnone.

"The applicants, Cubbies Properties, Inc. and J. Jay Tanebaum, are seeking a special use permit to construct an 81,344-square foot supermarket with a drive-through pharmacy and an 1,800-square foot fueling station," Councilman Macagnone stated. "The 8.7 acre parcel, which is part of the former Liberty Industrial Finishing Site, is located in an "LI" Light Industrial District at the northwest corner of Motor Avenue and Main Street, with a street address of 50 Motor Avenue."

The hearing will be held in the auditorium of W.E. Howitt Middle School, 50 Van Cott Ave., Farmingdale, beginning at 7 p.m. Following the regular town business, the town board will be available to listen to public comment on any subject. Call 624-6390 for further information.
