Our monthly trustee meetings are a great opportunity for all village residents and interested community members to see firsthand how village government operates. The meetings also offer attendees an opportunity to address the board. Board meetings allow residents to share their observations, suggestions and thoughts on how we can make our village a better place to live, work and play. Community input plays an important role in local government.

I welcome your attendance at our meetings. We do realize that due to other commitments it is not possible or practicable for all residents to attend. As such, the trustees and I have gone to great lengths to make the information at the meetings available to you if you cannot attend. At the suggestion of some residents, my administration has added a stenographer to record the minutes of the meetings. Transcripts of the meetings can be obtained at village hall. This is just one way we can ensure that residents have easy and ready access to information. I am committed to ensuring that our village government is an open government.

The Village of Farmingdale Board meets once a month, usually on a Tuesday at village hall at 7:30 p.m. The meetings are posted on the sign in front of village hall and will soon be posted on the village website at www.farmingdalevillage.org. Our next meeting is Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. I look forward to seeing you there.
