(Editor's Note: The following letter was originally sent to Farmingdale Village Mayor George Graf and is being printed at the writer's request.)

I am not a parent but a grandparent of a youngster going to pre-school at St. Luke's School. I, on occasion, drop off my grandson who is 4-years-old. I have been informed by the school of the new "No Parking" signs being erected by the village along Prospect Street. I believe a more sensible solution along the area adjacent to the St. Luke's School may be "Drop Off Parking Limited to 10 Minutes".

I do not think that parents, grandparents and others dropping off children should be subjected to possible parking violations. We certainly would not want to leave the small children by the curb to get to the class by themselves. Please think of the safety concerns.

I would appreciate consideration to an alternative to the "No Parking" plan.

Frank Bondietti, Sr.
