While I wish I could hold one gigantic meet-and-greet with all of you Dalers, that just doesn't seem possible right now. So, I'll use this editorial and try as formally as possible to introduce you to the newest member of the Anton Newspapers family - me. I will be taking over the reins as editor of the Farmingdale Observer from Marta Kane and judging from the influx of "so sorry to see you go" messages she's been receiving, I can see that I am going to have my work cut out for me.
I have been a freelance reporter with the Farmingdale Observer for the past few months and that position has allowed me to familiarize myself with this quaint town which is chock full of history. I also attended school in Farmingdale for nine years and have numerous friends and family members that live in town.
Prior to coming to Anton Newspapers I worked at News 12 in their interactive department. Chasing news is my passion and always has been. I am interested in all aspects of community journalism and the important role it plays in our lives. I look forward to getting reacquainted with you, Farmingdale.
