Farmingdale HS Students Representing NY Get Tested at the 2004 Canon Envirothon
Some students spend the summer at the beach. Others obtain summer jobs. Five Farmingdale High School students traveled mid-summer to the Canon Envirothon at Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, West Virginia, to study and be examined. While there, the students' environmental knowledge and decision-making skills were put to the test nearly every day as part of a week-long competition that culminated regional and state contests involving over 500,000 students.

United in Memory: 9/11 Victims Memorial Quilt Comes to Farmingdale State
A 16,000-square-foot quilt memorializing the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks will make its only stop in the state of New York starting on Friday, Sept. 10 through Sunday, Sept. 12 at the Farmingdale State University of New York Nold Hall in a free exhibition open to the public.

JB Award Winners Honored; Columbus Lodge Wins 12-6
The Columbus Lodge #2143 (CL) softball committee paid tribute to the Dave Saviano and Jeff Steinberg by naming the two men as co-winners of the 2004 Joe Bermudez Award for their on-the-field performance and off-the-field excellence relating to community service. The two were presented their awards at a ceremony that followed the Columbus Lodge Golden Lions 12-6 doubling-up of the Silver Bats.
