Farmingdale High School is currently seeking up to three new candidates for induction to its Wall of Fame this year, adding to the 31 alumni currently honored there. The selection committee will accept up to three qualified FHS alumni who have distinguished themselves in a special way. Candidates must have graduated at least 10 years ago and have documentation for all of their awards and accomplishments.
The Wall was established eight years ago and this is the sixth year that nominations are being accepted from the community. Dr. Donna Stanza, assistant principal at Farmingdale High School and chairperson of the Selection Committee, says that the Wall "honors those graduates who have been successful since leaving Farmingdale High School and presents current students with role models who demonstrate what they can accomplish if they are serious about their academic pursuits." Last year, the school honored alumni Robert Mosely, Rob Bartlett and Dr. David Jaeger by inducting them into the Wall of Fame.
Final decision on this year's inductees will be made by the Selection Committee, which consists of community volunteers. A nomination form will appear in the Farmingdale newsletter Our Schools and may be obtained by contacting Dr. Stanza by phone at 752-6600, or by mailing a written request to Farmingdale High School, 150 Lincoln Street, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
The Farmingdale High School Wall of Fame Selection Committee, which annually chooses three qualified FHS alumni to take their distinguished places on the Wall of Fame, currently has a single vacancy to fill. Any resident interested in serving on the committee may apply by sending a short letter of intent to Dr. Donna Stanza, Farmingdale High School, 150 Lincoln Street, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
