The Farmingdale Baseball Leagues (FBLI) annual Baseball Day will be held Saturday, June 12, at Allen Park. The events start at 9 a.m. and go throughout the day culminating with a Managers/Coaches softball game at 8 p.m. There will be skill competitions for many of the divisions with all-star games for the Boys Seniors and Majors Divisions. Food will be available from Applebee's and Annabella's. There will be a giant 28' slide, carnival games, popcorn, cotton candy and Italian Ices from Ralph's.

This year there will be a special exhibition game between the Vintage Baseball Team the NY Mutuals and FBLI Volunteers. The Mutuals play by the rules of baseball as it was played in the late 1800's (no gloves). The game will be played at 1 p.m.. To learn more about the Mutuals you can visit their web site at nymutuals.com. Long Island Blood Services will also have their Bloodmobile there for those wishing to donate blood. If you would like to schedule an appointment for donating blood on baseball day, please call FBLI at 249-7375. You can also just show up at the park on baseball day.
