Residents Invited to Purchase New Clothing
Several boxes of brand new clothing will be available at very low costs to residents at the Stuart Thomas Manor on Tuesday, May 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. The selling of the merchandise, close to 1,000 pieces generously donated by New Balance and Discus, is being done to further help the family of Michael Mianulli, a Farmingdale High School student whose life changed drastically after an accident at a friend's party left him paralyzed from the neck down last summer.

Farmingdale Coach Named Director at LuHi Summer Camps
Ken Garcia, JV Lacrosse Coach at Farmingdale HS, has been named the director of lacrosse for the LuHi summer camps. Garcia was a collegiate All-American, is currently a member of the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse and was recently honored to the Long Beach wall of Fame in 2003. Assisting Coach Garcia will be Rob Foley, coach at Howitt Middle School. Foley was a two-time National Champion while playing at Nassau Community College. Also attending will be Coach Mike Hungerford, who is an assistant coach for the Varsity Lacrosse Team.

Golden Lions Win 14-4; Set Sights on Weekend Tourney
After coming within one run of reaching the finals at last September's New York City Mayor's Cup softball tournament, the Columbus Lodge #2143 Golden Lions (CL) showed they had shaken off defeat and were ready for another solid season. Talent and teamwork were the two words being bandied about after their 14-4 opening day victory over IDX Systems Corp.
