Village Board Adopts Budget for 2004-2005
After a series of open meetings regarding the village budget for the 2004-2005 fiscal year (June 1, 2004 to May 31, 2005), the Farmingdale Village Board of Trustees adopted its budget last Thursday, reflecting a 9.5 percent increase in the general tax fund rate and a 10 percent decrease in the water rate.

St. Kilian Basketball Springs Back Into Action
On a beautiful spring afternoon, while most boys were out playing baseball or lacrosse, Tom Cinelli's St. Kilian sixth-grade CYO Boys Basketball Team traveled to Old Field Middle School in Huntington to open its Spring Basketball season. Knowing that some of their players would miss some games due to prior commitments to other sports, the team added two players to its active roster for the spring season.
