The Farmingdale Baseball League will hold its annual Opening Day parade on Sunday, April 25. This year its Parade Grand Marshal is Farmingdale Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Roberta Gerrold.

This year's parade will feature personnel and apparatus from the Farmingdale, East Farmingdale, South Farmingdale and North Massapequa Fire Departments; marching bands, and bag pipers from the Nassau County Police Emerald Society.

The parade will step off from Howitt Middle School at 2 p.m. and head south up Main Street then west on Motor Avenue ending at Allen Park. It will conclude with a special ceremony to honor the parade Grand Marshal and will feature their traditional opening day balloon launch.

Farmingdale Baseball League is in its 54th year of providing baseball programs to the youth of Farmingdale and North Massapequa. All are invited to come out to cheer on all the players and enjoy the festivities.
